Shares of Frontier Developments soared after record sales.

The computer games group behind titles based on the Jurassic Park films said sales rose 26% in the 12-month period to June to £114m.

Frontier was boosted by the release of Jurassic World Evolution 2, which sold 1.3 million copies during the year at around £25 a piece.

Resounding success: Computer games group Frontier Developments, which is behind titles based on the Jurassic Park films (pictured), said sales rose 26% in the 12-month period to June for reach £114 million.

Profit fell slightly to £7.5m from £12m a year earlier as it pumped money into games such as F1 Manager 2022. Frontier shares rose 18 .9%, or 204p, at 1282p.

Retailer Warhammer Games Workshop, meanwhile, said sales in the year to May 29 had jumped to £385m, from £353m a year earlier.
