Game maker developing the Scottsdale version of Monopoly

PHOENIX – What do you think of Boardwalk, Park Place and other board spaces if Monopoly came to Scottsdale?

Top Trumps USA is trying to answer that question by developing a version of the iconic game based on hip suburban Phoenix.

“From vibrant nightlife to legendary art galleries and everything in between, we’re excited to create an accurate representation of what the Valley and visitors love in Scottsdale,” Katie Hubbard, spokeswoman for the maker of Scottsdale, said Tuesday. games, in a press release.

Top Trumps USA, which is creating Monopoly Scottsdale under license from Hasbro, is seeking input from the public as well as local businesses and nonprofits that want to participate in the process.

Recommendations and business inquiries can be emailed to scottsdale@toptrumps.com.

Game makers shouldn’t have much trouble filling the high-end properties on the board, with a slew of luxury resorts, high-end shopping malls, and exclusive golf clubs to choose from.

Monopoly Scottsdale might even need a few extra spaces for the luxury tax. But will there always be free parking?

Top Trumps USA says the game will be available online and in retail stores, including CVS stores, in January 2023.

The company already offers a variety of localized Monopoly games, including versions set in Brooklyn, Texas Hill Country, and Palm Springs.

Community editions are listed on the game maker website for $39.95.
