Best Colleges for Game Design

Games are a reflection of our world and help shape the way we see it. For children, games can be a way to learn fundamental interpersonal and problem-solving skills. The way games are designed therefore has a very real impact on society. “There’s been a move away from tangible, mechanical approaches to design and a greater exploration of aesthetics and vibes and how to design for them,” said Sherveen Uduwana, game designer and head of project on “Midautumn” and instructor at Code Coven, an accelerator for marginalized game developers. “Many other designers are moving away from creating entirely new systems and features and finding ways to recontextualize pre-existing ideas in a way that feels specific to their game and is compelling to players.”
